21,240 young members of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Chamber, with a capital, exceeding 14.9 billion dirhams

Abu Dhabi, September 14 / WAM / recent data for the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry revealed a remarkable increase in the number of membership of youth -owned companies, which grew 97.8% in just one year (2023 – 2024), in an indication of the attractiveness of the business environment in Abu Dhabi and the growing confidence of young entrepreneurs in the opportunities provided by the emirate.

The number of members of the Chamber of young people reached more than 21,240 members in the age group from 18 to 35 years to August 2025, with a total capital exceeding 14.9 billion dirhams upon registration, reflecting the size of the growing youth’s contribution to the national economy.

The data indicated that the distribution of members according to nationality came close and the citizens constituted 49% of the total young members, while the percentage of non -citizens reached 51%, which reflects the various and comprehensive nature of the business community in the emirate.

With regard to the distribution of members according to activities, statistics revealed that 40% of young people are active in the wholesale and retail trade sector, followed by the construction sectors, administrative services, residence, restaurants and other vital sectors.

The Chamber affirmed its keenness to empower young people and enhance their participation in the economic development process, through the Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council, which is a strategic platform to support young entrepreneurs and develop their capabilities in a way that keeps pace with the emirate’s priorities in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Mansour Al -Sayegh, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council, said that the council constitutes an active platform to enable young entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into pioneering projects affecting the march of economic development, stressing that young people should not wait for opportunities, but work to create them themselves through innovation and creativity.

He pointed to the strategy of the council, which is based on five main axes that include the representation of youth interests, the development of legislation and governance, capacity building and qualification, enhancing partnerships and communication, and promoting business opportunities, with direct support from the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry that puts young empowerment at the core of their priorities.

He emphasized that the Abu Dhabi Chamber is working to provide an incubator and stimulating business environment, which opens in front of the youth with wide prospects for growth and competition locally, regionally and internationally, in order to enhance Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading center for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council continues to launch qualitative initiatives to enhance the youth business environment, the most prominent of which is the provision of free consultations to establish projects, and to provide free membership in the “Abu Dhabi Youth Business Gate”, in addition to facilitating the issuance of commercial licenses, and enabling emerging projects to expand locally and internationally.
