Abu Dhabi, September 15 / WAM / Abu Dhabi Customs and the Executive Office for Control and the Prohibition of Proliferation signed a memorandum of understanding on enhancing joint cooperation for the reasons for electronic linking, facilitating procedures and accelerating the completion of transactions, in the context of supporting the program of “State of Government bureaucracy”, which contributes to raising the level of customer satisfaction and enhancing transparency.
This step comes in line with the strategic directions of the Abu Dhabi government and the UAE towards digital transformation, the integration of government efforts, and the construction of effective partnerships that establish the state’s position as a global model in developing a flexible and attractive work environment that supports the competitiveness of the economy and the quality of life.
In the presence of His Excellency Rashid Lahej Al -Mansouri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Customs, His Excellency Mubarak Matar Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Operations Sector at Abu Dhabi Customs, and His Excellency Talal Mohamed Al Tunaiji, Director of the Executive Office for Control and Densation for Proliferation, signed a memorandum of understanding in the context of the two sides’ keenness to consolidate the bonds of cooperation and coordination, and establish strategic partnership relations, in a way that contributes to providing distinguished and integrated services to customers It enhances the efficiency of institutional performance on both sides.
The fields of cooperation include creating technical systems on both sides in proportion to the approved electronic linking mechanisms, in addition to setting a joint working framework for data and information exchanging accurately and quickly, while identifying data types and exchanging mechanisms according to the highest privacy standards and data protection.
The memo also states cooperation in implementing joint technical projects that support the goals of the two sides, in addition to organizing specialized workshops and training sessions, and exchanging technical expertise between the two parties with the aim of raising the level of efficiency and enhancing institutional readiness.
Mubarak Al -Mansouri said that the Memorandum of Understanding represents an important step towards promoting joint work and digital integration to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and preparedness in the fields of control and facilitating customs operations, stressing the endeavor to develop a unified and integrated technical system that contributes to facilitating procedures, and achieving the highest levels of transparency and security, in order to support the status of Abu Dhabi and the UAE as a reliable global center in trade and business practice.
Talal Al -Tunaiji stressed the keenness to support national efforts in the field of control and the prohibition of proliferation through harnessing modern technology and integrating systems with strategic partners, in order to ensure accuracy of information and the speed of decision -making, and enhances the effectiveness of regulatory measures in the country, and contributes to achieving the highest levels of compliance with international standards.
