4 ministerial sectors to follow up the controls of students and their absence in schools

The Ministry of Education has assigned new responsibilities and tasks for four ministerial sectors, which includes school operations, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, curricula, evaluation, control and licensing, to follow up the application of procedures and controls of students ’attendance and absence, in various education seminars in schools.
It has also been assigned new tasks for educational and administrative bodies in schools, to ensure the imposition of student discipline, according to an integrated and comprehensive regulatory framework that monitors the reasons for absence and treat them.
In detail, the Ministry of Education assigned the school operations sector to supervise the formation of specialized committees to review critical cases of absence, and to ensure the development of treatment plans and recommendations for educational departments.
The specialized committees, which were formed according to the ministerial assignment, included three administrative sectors, along with the school operations sector, including the curriculum and evaluation sector, which undertakes the update of policies for attendance and absence in proportion to educational and educational variables, and the digital transformation and artificial intelligence that is responsible for operating the electronic system to register the attendance and student absence, provide technical support, and ensure speed of intervention when there is Mids, with promoting digital analysis tools.
The committees also included the oversight and licensing sector to take over the responsibility of pursuing the commitment of private schools to procedures, through field visits, reviews of records, and verifying the mechanism of dealing with repeated absence or critical cases.
The ministry said through the organizational guide for responsibilities and tasks, that the procedures focus on raising the efficiency of school performance, protecting students, and addressing the challenges related to repeated or unjustified absence.
According to the evidence, which was seen by «Emirates Today», the principal, or his representative, bears the responsibility of general supervision of the application of attendance and absence procedures, including the follow -up of educational and administrative cadres, coordination with parents, and setting appropriate support plans for students, in addition to organizing school meetings, and councils to follow up on attendance issues.
The director is also charged with supervising the introduction of attendance and absence data in the electronic system, ensuring the commitment of regulations, following up cases of repeated or unjustified absences, and this includes communication with parents, documenting procedures, and submitting periodic reports of the competent educational administration.
The ministry assigned the teacher to register attendance and absence daily in the approved system, document the delay and immediate absence, in addition to following up the achievement of students.
The teacher is required to issue written alerts when observing a frequent absence or indicators of neglect or exposure to the student to psychological or social risks, in cooperation with the academic counselor or social worker, and the teacher also contributes to raising recommendations for the administration on educational support plans for absent students.
According to the evidence, the taxpayers category enter attendance and absence data in the electronic system in managing a precise and updated database daily, while ensuring that they are free of errors, and their tasks include reviewing records, issuing periodic reports, sending immediate alerts to parents via text messages, and documenting all administrative measures taken to ensure the treatment of palaces in time.
The Ministry assigned the domain manager responsible for receiving and reviewing periodic reports from its affiliated schools, ensuring that they implement the approved policies and procedures, as well as coordinated with the relevant departments to follow up on continuous or critical cases, and to submit analytical reports for the school operations sector in the ministry, and its tasks include verifying the presence of treatment plans, addressing challenges, and ensuring that schools’ commitment to laws and regulations.
The tasks of the academic guide
The academic counselor or social worker undertakes the task of analyzing the causes of absence, whether it is an academic, psychological, health, or social, in coordination with parents and teachers.
It is also charged with implementing individual and collective counseling sessions, submitting periodic reports on the cases of absent students, and coordinating with the director to take appropriate interventions when suspected of risks.
The guide works to prepare customized treatment plans, and contributes to documenting all procedures, to ensure accurate follow -up for each case.
