25 prohibited behavior on teachers in “Abu Dhabi Schools”

The Department of Education and Knowledge has identified 25 prohibited behavior on private school teachers and partnership schools, within the framework of obliging schools to implement six ethical standards, including respect for national identity and Emirati cultural values, respect for fellowship relations, preserving legal obligations, and following sound practices in digital activities, and working to protect society, in addition to enhancing integrated safety in the school and society.
School departments confirmed that the emirate’s schools have become binding, from the current academic year, to implement the Charter of Professional Ethics Rules, as it will be subjected to non -compliance with the school charter for legal accountability and administrative penalties.
She stressed the necessity of showing employees working in schools integrity, respect, neutrality and moral behavior within the classroom, and in their dealings with co -workers and community members, including parents, noting that it aims from the new policy of professional ethics rules to provide a fixed set of principles to direct professional practice and behavior in schools, and to create a solid basis for moral and vocational behavior in schools that fall within their authority.
The prohibited behaviors included: discrimination against members of the school or the ocean community, or harassing them on the basis of religion, race, origin, social status, age, or sex, or discrimination against pregnant or recently female employees who have given birth, engaging in behaviors or activities that lead to ideological indoctrination and enhance extremism, racism, bullying and all other forms of discrimination, wearing uncomfortable clothes, or wearing clothes in a way that is considered inconveniently underestimated. It violates the rules of school dress, or to engage in behavior that contradicts the professional and moral charter of workers in public education institutions, and harassment of an oral or physical colleague.
The list of prohibited behaviors also included publishing false rumors or offending the reputation of a colleague, revealing secret information related to others, or excluding a colleague deliberately from activities related to work or professional information, or preventing colleagues from performing their official duties, forging or distorting professional qualifications or job experiences, or providing another person’s work such as their own work or involvement in impersonation and intellectual theft, or violating the laws The applicable or ignored it intentionally or participating in covering up a violation that has been reported, or providing notes or making statements, formally or informal, can harm the reputation of the educational system, or give private lessons to students registered in the school in which they work as teachers, or the use of work devices in an inappropriate manner and contrary to the policy of responsible use in the school, or sharing images of students ’screens or students’ work Contains information information and data.
The list also included, making inappropriate comments or physical communication, even if in a fun or joking way, or the mistreatment of students or employees in any way, or not reporting the incident of ill -treatment for students or employees, facilitating the abuse of students in any way, or using social issues to motivate students to act in extremist ways, or use social issues for personal gains by fraud (collecting donations in ways and reasons other than Legitimacy).
The Department of Education and Knowledge urged teachers to respect the national identity and Emirati cultural values, enhance an atmosphere of respect and appreciation to all members of their school community, to show respect for individuals from different religious, ethnic or cultural backgrounds, and take the necessary measures to ensure that the classrooms and other workplaces are free of all forms of discrimination, and the treatment of students and colleagues equally including students with determination and students with educational needs Additional, encouraging and supporting colleagues to adopt high professional standards and adhere to them, and cooperate with other teachers in a way that contributes to enhancing a positive and supportive professional environment for all, in addition to helping to prepare and direct new teachers through guidance and guidance.
She called on teachers to adhere to honesty and integrity during work, and awareness of the laws, regulations and policies of the United Arab Emirates related to their work and commitment to them. In the event of a desire to provide private lessons services outside school working hours, adhere to obtaining a permit for his work as a private teacher according to the requirements of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, while adhering to continuous professional development, interacting with students in assessing the reliability of digital information, and in using artificial intelligence technologies in a responsible and moral manner, and help students understand e -bullying and how to determine whether they are victims of it or participate in it as a channel, And inform the relevant authorities when identifying any incident or suspicion of ill -treatment for students or employees, and ensuring that time to volunteer in social issues contribute to environmental initiatives and sustainability and motivating and encouraging students to do the same.

The Department of Education and Knowledge affirmed that «schools should set and distribute the rules of employee behavior in line with the professional and moral charter of workers in education institutions, and the workers must sign it», stressing that the lack of compliance with the policy of professional ethics rules will expose the school to legal accountability, the penalties applied under the regulations and policies, and the requirements of the department, without prejudice to the penalties imposed by the decree of the law Federal No. (31) of 2021 issuing the law of crimes and penalties and its amendments or any other relevant law, while retaining the right to interfere if the school violates its obligations.
