Chairman of the Federal National Defense Affairs Committee with the Swiss Foreign Ministry envoy to strengthen parliamentary cooperation

The Chairman of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, met with Ambassador Sylvain Astier, Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa at the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where ways to enhance bilateral cooperation relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Swiss Confederation were discussed.

Al Nuaimi stressed the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation and supporting unified parliamentary positions on various issues of common interest during international parliamentary engagements, in addition to activating the role of parliamentary diplomacy in supporting bilateral relations and achieving the interests of both countries.

The meeting also discussed political developments in the region, and stressed the importance of enhancing coordination and joint cooperation to support international efforts aimed at achieving security, peace and stability.
