A smart search and rescue system for students " American American" He wins an international prize

Sharjah, on September 22/ WAM/ The “Shaheen” project, which was developed by four American University students in Sharjah, has ranked second in the “Imagine Future 2024-2025” competition organized by the company “Dell Technologies”, with the participation of 259 projects from 14 countries.
The project aims to support searches and rescue operations in desert areas, through a smart device installed on the drones, which enable them to accurately monitor the missing persons, and send their geographical locations to the actual time rescue teams.
The project mimics the characteristics of the Shaheen, known for its speed, as it unit, as the system works to wipe large areas of the desert efficiently and flexible, giving the rescue teams a decisive time in emergency situations.
“Shaheen” was developed by a student team that includes Youssef Irshaid, Malik Hader, and Adham Al -Muslimi from the Department of Computer Engineering, and Ahmed Al -Saleh from the Department of Computer Science, under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Al -Hajri, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the university.
