Abbas calls for a complete membership of Palestine and confirms: There is no place for Hamas

On Monday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called for a full membership of Palestine at the United Nations, stressing that there will be no role for Hamas in Gaza after the war.
Abbas said in a speech through the video, a conversation, addressed to the conference of the two -state solution in New York, headed by Saudi Arabia and France, that the authority is ready to work with all partners to implement the peace plan with the New York Declaration.
He called on the Palestinian President to support full membership of Palestine at the United Nations.
He continued: “We recognized the right of Israel to exist and we still recognize it,” adding: “The war on our people must stop immediately.”
And he added: “We are committed to holding presidential and parliamentary elections after the Gaza war and within a year, and to formulate a temporary constitution.”
He called “Hamas and all factions to hand over weapons to the Palestinian Authority,” stressing that “Hamas will not be a role in the rule of Gaza.”
The Palestinian president added: “We demand the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and the release of the hostages.”
