"Fujairah Environment" Participates in the meetings of the International Coordination Council for the Human and Biological Program

Hangzhou on September 24/ WAM/ The Fujairah Environment Authority participated in the 37th session of the International Coordination Council for the Human and Biological Ocean program of UNESCO and the Fifth World Congress of the Biomedia Reserves, which is hosted by Hangzhou in the People’s Republic of China, from 22 to 26 September.
The opening session included a review of the new action plan for the human organization and the biological environment headed by Mrs. Latifa Yaqoubi, President of the International Coordination Council for the Human and Biological Program, and reviewing the achievements achieved within the framework of the human and vital surroundings program (2015-2025) and Lima’s work plan (2016-2025) in the current global context, in addition to presenting the new plan for the human and vital surroundings program, where The network includes 759 vital ocean reserves in 136 countries.
His Excellency Aseela Abdullah Al -Mualla, Director of the Fujairah Environment Authority, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Arab Network for the Biomasic Ocean Reserves (Arabsmab) participated in a dialogue session, during which she reviewed the achievements of the Arab Network during the past three years, where many interactive and preparatory workshops were held, with the aim of qualifying and training in preparing preliminary files to include the Arab countries reserves within the Arab network for the ocean reserves The vital, which currently includes 36 natural reserves.
The conference aims to shed light on the awareness of the local community from farmers in preserving the soil and following best practices in sustainable agriculture to ensure the improvement of soil quality to maintain the environmental balance of our planet, which is a major reason for enhancing food security, in addition to discussing the current challenges and offering solutions to confront the deterioration of the soil and integrate the local community within the plans of developing natural reserves to transform the vital perimeter.
Al -Mualla stated, “The authority’s participation comes to embody the vision of our rational leadership towards environmental work, the activities of the reserves and its pivotal role in sustainable development, promoting the circular economy and encouraging environmental tourism to consolidate the foundations of a balanced society and a green environment that enhances the quality of life, where the authority operates according to a national plan in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Youth through the National Committee for Education, Culture and Science and the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture On the development of the land and sea natural reserves system in the Emirate of Fujairah. ”
She affirmed her support for the natural reserves nominated by Arab countries as a vital surroundings reserve for joining the Arab Map Network, which is expected to be announced at the end of Congress.
It is worth noting that the UAE has chaired the Executive Committee of the Arabab Network in 2023 represented by the happiness of Asilah Al -Mualla, which translates the efforts of the Emirate of Fujairah in achieving the most prominent achievements by including the National Wadi National Reserve, within the vital ocean reserves in 2018 due to its observance of maintaining the balance between the human and the environment in various activities that serve the reserve and local community.
