"Emirates Doctors" The national initiative to promote heart health is launched

Abu Dhabi, September 27/ WAM/ The “Emirates Doctors” initiative, today, launched the National Initiative to Promote Heart Health under the slogan “Do not miss the pulse”, during the opening ceremony of the National Coptic Reserve Forum, hosted by the capital, Abu Dhabi, in conjunction with the “World Heart Day” that falls on September 29.

The initiative comes with the participation of the Emirates Program for Request and Medical Response “Reader”, the UAE Council for Coptic Refreshment, and the Emirates Coptic Refresh Society, under the supervision of the Emirates Reserve Medical Team and Emirates Heart ambassadors, and in coordination with government and private health institutions in the country.

The initiative aims to enhance awareness of the importance of heart health, and to stress the need to interfere immediately in cases of cardiac resuscitation, in addition to supporting access to life -saving care, training emergency response teams and increasing their readiness and efficiency, as well as encouraging healthy lifestyles of the heart in various groups of society according to best practices and international standards. The management of the Emirates Cancer Association, that cardiovascular disease causes more than 17 million people annually and constitutes 22 % of deaths in the country, which requires the adoption of innovative initiatives to raise the readiness of medical cadres according to the best international standards.

He explained that the National Initiative to Promote Heart Health was launched through a coalition that includes governmental, private and non -profit institutions, and includes the establishment of the National Academy of Carturing Response, the Specialized National Training Program, Mobile Clinors, the Field Hospital for the Heart, the Emirates Heart Award, and the Emirates Heart Ambassadors Program.

He indicated that the initiative is based on two main axes, a community aimed at raising awareness of heart disease and methods of prevention and treatment, and a professional focusing on training the first line of defense from doctors, nurses and paramedics, with the approval of local and international recovery councils.

He stressed that the experimental stage of the “readiness” program succeeded in training thousands of cadres, as part of a national plan to qualify 30 thousand health workers in cooperation with prestigious international medical institutions and universities.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Samir, a member of the UAE Reserve Council, said that the initiative contributes to building health capabilities and unifying the methodology of work through continuing education programs and community activities such as examinations and awareness workshops.

For his part, Dr. Saeed Al -Hindi, Medical Director of “Reader”, explained that the initiative will continue for a year as a first stage to cause a healthy, societal and economic impact, stressing the possibility of preventing heart disease through integrated training and awareness programs, in order to keep pace with the sustainable development goals.

For his part, Professor Oliver Jacden, Director of the International Council for Interferral Heart Surgery, indicated that high blood pressure is the most prominent causes of heart disease and often not discovered or treated, stressing the importance of enhancing early detection and providing treatment through mobile clinics.

He stressed that the organizing committee will provide technical support and international training to expand preventive and therapeutic interventions, in order to enhance the ability of health and society cadres to reduce heart attacks and strokes that represent the first cause of death globally.
