Launching the second batch of the national program of future leaders in civil aviation

Montreal on September 30/ WAM/ The General Authority of Civil Aviation announced today the launch of the second batch of the national program for future leaders in civil aviation, which is organized by the authority in cooperation with the UAE government leadership program, on the sidelines of the forty -second general assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization “ICAO” in Montreal, Canada.
The launch of the program was attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al -Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, Chairman of the Authority’s Board of Directors; And His Excellency Saif Muhammad Al -Suwaidi, Director General of the Authority, and with the participation of high -ranking officials from the UAE delegation participating in the general assembly work. The program aims to enable a group of promising young Emirati competencies who have a spirit of leadership and commitment, by refining their leadership and professional skills and enhancing their readiness to participate in the leadership of the civil aviation sector locally and internationally.
His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq expressed his happiness at launching the second batch of the National Leadership Program for Civil Aviation, which reflects the state’s commitment to investing in young minds and enabling it to continue to perform its active role in leading the aviation sector locally and globally.
His Excellency pointed out that the program constitutes a strategic step towards developing a new generation of national cadres capable of contributing to supporting the achievement of the future state’s vision in this important and vital sector.
For his part, His Excellency Saif Muhammad Al -Suwaidi said, “The launch of this program reflects the authority’s keenness to develop young national cadres and competencies, whom we consider a basic pillar in sustainability, competitiveness and development of the aviation sector.
For his part, Eng. Saeed Al -Suwaidi, the permanent representative of the ICAO state mission, said, “The program represents a leading model in preparing future leaders capable of keeping pace with the rapid transformations in the aviation sector, and we are confident that the participating Emirati competencies will contribute to enhancing the state’s presence in international organizations and consolidating its position as a major supporter to develop the global aviation industry.”
The program combines scientific and practical training on leadership, protocol and strategic planning in the civil aviation sector, and the participants also give practical opportunities to work alongside leaders and engage in national initiatives that contribute to drawing the future of civil aviation locally and internationally.
This year, 21 of the promising young Emirati competencies representing the various aviation sectors in the country, including: the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Union Aviation, Abu Dhabi Airports, the Civil Aviation Department in Sharjah, and the Civil Aviation Department in Ras Al Khaimah.
The program extends 10 months, during which the participants gain practical experiences and advanced strategic knowledge, which contributes to refining their leadership skills and consolidating the position of the UAE as an influential force in the future of the aviation industry.
