248 athletes represent the UAE in “Asia Games” and “Islamic Solidarity”

The National Olympic Committee revealed the details of the UAE’s participation in the third Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, during the period from 22 to 31 October, and the sixth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games hosted by Saudi Arabia, from the seventh to the 21st of next November, as the UAE participates in the two sessions with 248 athletes (152 in the “Asian Games” and 96 in “Islamic Solidarity”).

This came during the press conference held by the committee yesterday, at its headquarters in Dubai, in the presence of representatives of the sports federations.

During the conference, the Director of the Department of Technical and Sports Affairs of the National Olympic Committee, Ahmed Al -Tayeb, confirmed that the Emirates delegation will play the Asian games in Bahrain, which witnesses the participation of about 5,000 athletes from 45 countries, competing in 24 sport and 253 competitions, and the UAE is running the event in 19 games: handball, basketball (33x), equestrian in the jumping and powerful competitions, athletics, swimming, bicycles In the road contest, boxing, Moay Tai, weightlifting, triathlon, taekwondo, table tennis, camel races, electronic sports, flying feather, golf, judo, jujitsu, martial sports (MMA), with a delegation consisting of 152 athletes with 107 players and 45 players.

Ahmed Al -Tayeb reviewed the most prominent details of the event and the program of competitions and time agenda, pointing out that the inclusion of sports, such as equestrian (ability), Jujitsu and Moay Tai within the sports program for the first time, represents a historical addition that reflects the accelerated development of Asian sports, and enhances cultural and sports exchange among young people.

He added: «The course is dedicated to the age group from 14 to 18 years, and it is a qualified station for the Olympic Games for Youth (Dakar 2026), and it is an ideal platform for discovering promising talents and preparing a new generation of athletes who are able to compete in major benefits, including Asian games for adults and the Olympic Games, and also provides players an opportunity to gain valuable international experience, including It enhances their self -confidence, and supports their sporting and psychological development. ”

The Department of Technical and Sports Affairs of the National Olympic Committee also revealed the data of the committee’s participation in the sixth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games that are held in Saudi Arabia with the participation of more than 3000 athletes representing 57 countries, noting that throughout all copies of this session the Emirates did not lose sight of participating and win medals and stand on the coronation platforms, as the UAE participates in the sixth edition with 15 sport, including: Judo, Jojitsu, Karate, Moay Tai, Taekwondo, Athletics, Swimming, Equestrian, Fencing, weightlifting, table tennis, electronic games, and camels, in addition to athletics and weightlifting games for people of determination, and with a 96 athletes, with 64 players and 32 players.
