Cooperation between “Dua” and “Inuk” to expand the rapid charging stations of electric vehicles

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority “Dua” signed a contract with the “Inok” group, to expand the network of rapid charging stations of electric vehicles in “Inok” stations deployed in the Emirate of Dubai, which enhances the stations infrastructure, and the accelerating growth in the number of electric vehicles is kept pace with.

In the presence of the Managing Director, CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, and the Acting CEO of the Enok Group, Hussein Sultan Lootah, the contract was signed by the Executive Deputy Chairman for the Business and Excellence Sector in the Authority, Eng. Walid bin Salman, and the executive director of the retail sector in «Enok», Eng. Zaid Abdul Rahman Al -Qafidi, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides, during the course of the session. Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer said: “In cooperation with our partners from the governmental and private sectors, we are working to enhance the green movement in Dubai by creating and developing an integrated infrastructure for charging electric vehicles, in a way that contributes to reducing carbon emissions, achieving the goals of Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, and the carbon neutrality strategy 2050 for the Emirate of Dubai, and the green movement strategy in Dubai, and the signing of this contract comes with (ENOC) within the framework of The green charger initiative for electric vehicles that we launched in 2014, to support growth in the numbers of electric vehicles, and we continue to work with our partners from various sectors to consolidate the pillars of a sustainable green economy, keep pace with the aspirations of good leadership, and enhance the global competitiveness of Dubai.
