The start of the Sharm El -Sheikh negotiations between Hamas and Israel under Egyptian auspices

In the Egyptian city of Sharm El -Sheikh, indirect negotiations were launched between the delegations of Hamas and Israel, under Egyptian auspices to discuss the arrangements for the exchange of prisoners, the ceasefire, and the phased withdrawal of the Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.

The negotiations are focused on the release of 48 Israeli detainees in exchange for the release of 250 prisoners of high sentences and 1,700 detainees from Gaza, in addition to the “corpse versus 15” equation.
