A projectile of unknown origin hits a ship while crossing the Strait of Hormuz

A British maritime security agency reported that A container shipwas attacked off the coast of The Sultanate of Oman as it crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, while IranCampaign to respond to the US-Israeli attacks.

The ship was two nautical miles north of Oman. "It crosses east into the Strait of Hormuz" when "It was hit by an unknown projectile just above the waterline, causing a fire in the engine room"According to the British Maritime Trade Operations Authority (UKMTO).

This is the fourth attack reported in territorial waters within 24 hours, after projectiles hit three other ships or fell in their vicinity off the coast of the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman.
