The Ministry of Finance is organized "Financial Data Forum 2025"

Abu Dhabi, October 8 / WAM / The Ministry of Finance organized a forum for financial statements 2025, with the participation of the Emirates Accounting Agency, and a number of students of accounting and financial specialties from public and private universities.
The forum aimed to discuss the preparation of financial statements for the federal authorities for the fiscal year ending on December 31, 2025, with a focus on the application of modern international accounting standards for the public sector and the most prominent updates in the financial circular to prepare financial statements, in addition to enhancing cooperation between the federal authorities and academic institutions through the participation of students from accounting and financial specializations from public and private universities; To inform them of best practices in preparing financial statements.
The forum was attended by His Excellency Younis Haji Al -Khoury, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, His Excellency Maryam Mohamed Al -Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Government Financial Management Sector in the Ministry, and a number of assistant agents, financial managers and specialists in the financial field from the federal authorities.
His Excellency Maryam Mohamed Al -Amiri said that the organization of the forum reflects the vision of the Ministry of Finance in building a federal financial environment based on governance and transparency and keeping pace with international best practices, and that discussing accounting developments and financial updates comes in line with the state’s directions towards enhancing financial efficiency and achieving the highest levels of accuracy in reports, in a way that contributes to the consolidation of the UAE’s position as a pioneering global model in government financial management.
She added that the involvement of graduates of accounting and financial specialties from public and private universities in the country in this forum embodies the ministry’s belief in the importance of investing in the human element, and enabling national competencies to see the best practical experiences and practices, which constitutes a vital bridge between academic education and practical application, in order to support the development of qualified cadres to lead the future of the government and private financial sector.
Al -Amiri stressed that the Ministry of Finance is continuing in its efforts to adopt international best practices in government financial management, and to build financial and accounting capabilities by offering specialized training programs to ensure the sustainability and continuity of education and development.
The forum included dialogue and interactive sessions covering the aspects related to the preparation of financial statements, including the “Podcast” session, which witnessed an in -depth discussion on the development of public finance in the federal government, the accounting and digital transformation and the continuous development of federal financial systems to ensure the accuracy of preparing the financial statements, and a specialized session for the transfer of knowledge, which dealt with the new international accounting standards (Ipsas 41, 42, 42, 42, 42, 42, 42, 42, 42, 42, 42, 42 43 and 44) which is applied during the current year, and the requirements for adhering to them, and reviewed practical experiences and practical models on international best practices in this field.
The activities of the forum also included a detailed presentation of financial circular No. (5) of 2025 regarding the instructions for preparing the final account project for the federal authorities “financial statements” and preparing the unified closing account project “the unified financial statements” for the fiscal year ending 12/31/2025 and the main updates it contains on the requirements of presentation and disclosure.
During the forum, the Emirates Accounting Agency reviewed the most important audit requirements and its role in supporting the quality of financial data.
