Jordan condemns the storming of Al-Aqsa and demands Israel to stop violations and provocations

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs condemned the storming of the extremist Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, and a group of extremists, into the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque the Holy Mosque, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, stressing that this constitutes a flagrant violation of international and international humanitarian law, a dangerous escalation and an unacceptable provocation, stressing that Israel does not It has any sovereignty over the occupied city of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.

The official spokesman for the ministry, Fouad Al-Majali, affirmed Jordan’s absolute rejection and strong denunciation of the continuation of these incursions facilitated by the occupation, describing them as a blatant violation of the existing historical and legal status in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and an attempt to divide it temporally and spatially and desecrate it.

Al-Majali warned of the serious consequences of the continuation of these illegal violations against the Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem, calling on Israel, as the occupying power, to stop all these provocative practices by the extremists of the Israeli government, which represent a continuation of the policy of escalation and illegal unilateral measures in the occupied West Bank and a violation of the sanctity of Holy places.

Al-Majali reiterated that the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in its entirety, is a pure place of worship for Muslims, and that the Jerusalem Endowments Administration and the affairs of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, is the legal body with exclusive jurisdiction to manage its affairs and regulate access to it.
