The central bank hosts the leadership and data experts conference for central banks

Abu Dhabi, October 8/ WAM/ The United Arab Emirates Bank hosted the leadership and data experts conference for central banks under the slogan “Data – the solid basis for the operations of the Central Bank in the period of uncertainty”.
Participated in the conference held in Abu Dhabi, officials from the Emirates Central Bank, and a group of senior officials of central banks, financial institutions and experts from 35 countries, discussed the strategic role of data in the operations of the central banks.
The conference focused on ways to enhance dialogue and exchange experiences between the countries of the world, benefit from international best practices to keep pace with digital and economic changes and transformations, and enhance the readiness of global central banks for future requirements.
The conference witnessed a series of dialogue sessions that dealt with the importance of data -based innovation in promoting monetary and financial oversight, and opportunities for international cooperation to develop central bank operations, in light of the continued state of global economic uncertainty.
The sessions discussed a set of pivotal topics, among them the scene of data and artificial intelligence, by studying the mutual influences between artificial intelligence and data management, and the role of data management and its governance in developing artificial intelligence technologies, as well as the contribution of artificial intelligence in reshaping the data structure.
The sessions also dealt with a vision and strategy of data operating models, data management and analysis engineering, the importance of align data investments and change management with concrete practical results, which contributes to achieving the strategic goals of institutions, in addition to displaying success stories and lessons learned.
The conference included interactive discussion seminars on how to convert data into assets or products that meet the needs of participants in the market and licensed and commercial financial institutions, in addition to presentations on the current analysis tools group used in central banks, which provided visions about practical applications and technological developments in data analysis.
His Excellency Ahmed Saeed Al -Qamzi, Assistant Governor of the Central Bank of the Banking and Insurance Control Sector, said that hosting the Emirates Central Bank of the Commander and Data Experts Conference for Central Banks reflects his fixed commitment to harnessing the great capabilities of advanced data, and its continuous keenness to enhance local, regional and international cooperation in the areas of knowledge exchange, experiences and best practices, describing the strategic use of data as a pivotal factor in the development of Decision -making, enhancing operational efficiency, and achieving goals with precision and effectiveness.
He added that the central bank has developed its data in the field of data to enhance the supervision of the monetary and financial systems in the country, by completing the first phase of the establishment of a central platform for data management that supports supervisory technology processes through data collection, analysis and protection in an integrated manner, and also strengthened the framework of data governance through new policies that include governance, quality, risk management and records, while the pace of integration of artificial intelligence accelerated by developing 20 applications that depend on automatic learning, in addition to Evaluating more than 60 models in artificial intelligence in advance, which contributed to simplifying the preparation of regulatory reports through supervisory technology functions and risk management.
