Al Salam Specialist Hospital opens the Eye -Surgery Unit

Al -Salam Specialist Hospital opened on Monday, October 7, the “Epsa” unit for eye surgery, in the presence of Dr. Jamal Saleh, Chairman Operations.

Dr. Ammar Al Mahmoud, head of the Ibsar unit, stressed during the opening speech that this unit represents a qualitative shift in private ophthalmology services in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as it represents a unique model by integrating it between advanced medical and surgical capabilities in advanced ophthalmology, to serve eye patients of all ages, and the unlimited capabilities of Al Salam Specialist Hospital. He said: “We are keen that this unit is an integrated medical reference that provides the best diagnostic and surgical solutions for patients, in line with the latest global developments in the field of ophthalmology.”

The unit allows the provision of integrated services that cover all age groups, starting with newborns to the elderly, and include medical examinations and surgical interventions inside the hospital, in addition to field treatment programs via “Ibsar” to reach patients in their homes. A continuous medical service is also available throughout the emergency department.

The “Ebsar” unit depends on the latest diagnostic and surgical devices that contribute to reducing the time of examinations and operations, and enables to reach the diagnosis accurately and quickly, which is reflected in achieving the best results for patients. The unit also provides the concept of “ONE Stop Clinic” that allows the patient to perform tests and some surgical interventions during only one visit.
