Yass Thoroub .. The first Danish coach to train Al -Ahly

The Egyptian Al -Ahly Club appointed the Danish Yassin Thoroub as technical director of the first football team for two and a half seasons, succeeding Imad Al -Nahhas, who took over the mission temporarily after the dismissal of Spaniard Jose Ribeiro last month.
An official statement issued by Al -Ahly club stated that the club administration ended the contracting procedures with Thurab after meetings led by the Chairman of the Board, Mahmoud Al -Khatib, with the Planning Committee, Sports Manager, Football Director, Contracting and Scouts Department.
Thoroub, 55, became the first Danish coach to coach Al -Ahly throughout its history. The club did not reveal the value of its contract with the coach or the assistant agency at the present time.
Thoroub began his career as a striker in 1989 in the ranks of the Danish Odysseine, and his career included the German club Orangen, Terrol, Austrian, and the Danish Danish, Hamcam Norway, before retiring from the ranks of Asberg in 2006.
He started his training career with Esberg in 2011 to lead him to ascend to the first degree in the same season, then to crown the Denmark Cup for the first time in his history in 2013.
Thoroub moved to train Denmark under 20 years and then Denmark U -21 team between 2013 and 2015, before the Midiland team coached between 2015 and 2018 to win the Danish League title 2018.
Thoroub then moved to Belgium to train the Khatta and Ghsni teams, before returning to Denmark in 2020 and coach Copenhagen, with whom he won the league title 2022, then he trained German October in October 2023 and continued with him until he was sacked last May.
Al -Ahly is currently in the third place in the Egyptian League with 18 points, with a goal difference from Al -Masry and Zamalek, and begins its career in the African Champions League by confronting Eagle Nawar from Burundi on October 18.
