Alba celebrates the second batch of its employees with Bachelor of Engineering degrees in cooperation with Huddersfield

Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the largest single-site aluminum smelter in the world, has graduated the second batch of its employees from the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Electrical, Electronic and Control Systems Engineering in cooperation with the University of Huddersfield, UK.

On this occasion, the company organized a ceremony in the Oasis Hall on October 8 to celebrate 24 Bahraini employees for their academic achievement, bringing the total number of graduates of this program from qualified Bahraini cadres in the company to 48 employees.

The event witnessed the presence of Alba’s CEO, Ali Al Baqali, and members of the company’s executive management, in addition to a number of senior officials and members of the educational staff from the University of Huddersfield, including the University’s Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange, Professor Monty Adkins, and Projects Director, Dr. Mustafa Al-Qadi.

On this occasion, Alba’s CEO, Ali Al Baqali, stressed that learning at Alba is a continuous process, adding that “every graduate today proves that investing in our employees is an investment in Alba’s future and that empowering the national workforce is at the heart of our mission and the foundation of our successes.”

As part of the company’s commitment to its strategic goals aimed at developing national competencies within the company’s circles and instilling a culture of continuous learning, Al-Baqali announced the launch of the third batch of the bachelor’s degree completion program in mechanical engineering during the month of October, in cooperation with the University of Huddersfield.
