The tourist explained that the owner of the restaurant justified the decision by saying that an Israeli group had previously sat in the place and only two of them had paid for the meals, and so he decided since then to prevent all Israelis from entering.

The incident sparked widespread dissatisfaction among Israeli tourists who visit the island in large numbers, and some of them described what happened as “unacceptable discrimination in 2025,” while no official comment has been issued by the Thai authorities on the incident yet.
