Sharjah Police launches a patrol fleet that supports rapid response and traffic safety

Sharjah, 9 October / WAM / His Excellency Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, today inaugurated the modern fleet of police patrols and traffic sergeants, equipped with advanced technologies that enhance the efficiency of performing field tasks, within the framework of the strategy of the Sharjah Police General Command, which aims to enhance community security, achieve traffic safety, and develop rapid response capabilities to emergency situations.

During the inauguration, the Commander-in-Chief was briefed on a number of smart vehicles that were modernized as part of the new phase to enhance the security and safety system in various regions of the emirate. These patrols are distinguished by advanced technical systems that include modern communications systems and advanced capabilities in receiving reports and analyzing field data, which contributes to speedy decision-making and immediate dealing with incidents.

His Excellency appreciated the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, which constitutes a fundamental pillar in enhancing security and quality of life in the emirate. He also thanked His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for his continuous follow-up and constant keenness to support efforts, develop and improve the security work system.

For his part, Brigadier Khaled Al-Ki, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, confirmed that modernizing the patrol fleet comes within a comprehensive strategic plan to develop police work, noting that the new patrols represent a qualitative leap in the level of technical equipment, as smart systems have been integrated that enable policemen to quickly interact with reports and improve response time, which directly reflects on strengthening community security.

He pointed out that the updates also contribute to improving the quality of field data, which consolidates Sharjah Police’s approach to proactiveness and continuous development.
