The Prime Minister visits Toukh Central Hospital

At the conclusion of his visit today to Qalyubia Governorate, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and his companions inspected the “Toukh” Hospital project. Central.
At the beginning of his tour of the hospital, the Prime Minister stressed that the health sector is a top priority for the government’s work, pointing to the great interest that the state attaches to providing various health services in all governorates of the Republic, whether through developing existing health facilities or implementing new projects that meet the needs of citizens, especially those with limited income, which contributes to improving the quality of medical and therapeutic services provided, and providing modern hospitals equipped with the latest Techniques.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly listened to an explanation from Dr. Peter Wagih, Assistant Minister of Health for Curative Medicine Affairs, who explained that the hospital construction began in July 2019, and the hospital building consists of a ground floor and 3 upper floors, with a total area of about 9,993 square meters.
With regard to the actual operating situation of the hospital, Dr. Peter Wajih, to complete all construction and finishing works according to the highest levels of quality and efficiency, and once the medical furnishing work is completed, the hospital will be ready to open next November, to enter service and receive patients, pointing out that a committee from the Ministry of Health has received the hospital in preparation for its opening.
He also confirmed that the hospital represents An important qualitative addition to the health system in Qalyubia Governorate, and will serve more than half a million citizens, in addition to contributing to receiving accident cases on the Cairo-Alexandria Agricultural Road, which reflects the state’s keenness to provide the best and most modern means of health care for citizens.
Regarding the hospital’s capacity, the doctor explained Peter Wajih said that the hospital includes 98 beds, including: 59 inpatient beds, 23 intensive care beds, and 16 beds for premature babies. It also contains a dialysis unit with a capacity of 20 beds, 6 operating rooms, 15 outpatient clinics, an emergency department, a cardiac catheterization unit, and a department for X-rays, magnetic resonance imaging, CT scans, and ultrasound, in addition to specialized laboratories. And a physical therapy department, rooms for natural and caesarean births, and a reception and emergency department.
At the conclusion of his speech, he pointed out that the hospital building contains many administrative and service units, such as: pharmacy, kitchen, central sterilization, waste shredder, warehouses, electrical transformer rooms, a parking lot, and a parking lot. For ambulances, an oxygen tank, a mosque, housing for doctors and nurses, a nursing school…etc.
