The Head of State and the Cypriot President discuss by telephone the relations of the two countries and regional developments

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, discussed – during a phone call – various aspects of cooperation and joint work and the possibilities of enhancing them, especially in the economic and development fields, in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries and brings goodness and development to their peoples.
The two sides also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest, most notably the developments in the Middle East region and the agreement on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, stressing in this context the importance of the parties’ commitment to implementing it to end human suffering, and to allow relief aid to reach the residents of the Strip urgently, intensively, safely and without any obstacles, in addition to building on the agreement to reach a lasting and comprehensive peace based on The basis for the “two-state solution” to ensure the achievement of regional security and stability for the benefit of all peoples and countries of the region.
