“Karate White” went to Paris with the ambition of qualifying for the World Cup

The delegation of the UAE national karate team left yesterday for the French capital, Paris, to participate in the qualifying tournament for the “Cairo 2025 World Cup,” which is organized by the International Federation of Karate from October 17 to 19, with the participation of 500 male and female players representing 105 countries.
The team’s roster includes six players: Karim Rami, who competes solo in the men’s kata competition, in addition to the kumite quintet consisting of Hawraa Al-Ajmi, in the under-50 kilograms, Fatima Khasif in the women’s under-68 kilograms, Omar Nabil, in the under-67 kilograms, Rida Masoudi, in the under-84 kilograms, and Zayed. Khudair for men over 84 kilograms.
The team delegation is headed by the First Vice President of the Emirates Karate Federation, Rashid Abdul Majeed Al Ali, and includes a member of the Board of Directors and Director of the National Teams, Ahmed Salem Basalib, and the training staff consisting of Waheed Khawaja, Nader Beki, and international referee Jaber Al Zaabi.
Rashid Abdul Majeed Al Ali confirmed, in press statements, that “the team’s participation comes within the Federation’s plan to prepare a generation capable of competing in the largest international forums, in an important step towards strengthening the presence of (Emirati Karate) on the international arena.”
He added: “We enter the tournament with high confidence, after our male and female players showed good commitment during the preparation period, and we hope that they will translate this effort into positive results that confirm the status of (Emirates Karate) at the regional and global levels.”
