56 medals at the conclusion of the “Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association Championship”

The competitions of the Abu Dhabi National Association for Jiu-Jitsu Professionals in the Republic of Korea were concluded, amid wide participation from various countries of the world, and strong competition between players of various weights, belts and age levels, which included the categories of cubs, juniors, youth and adults, men and women.

The tournament, which was held in the Bucheon Songunae Sports Center hall in Seoul, witnessed a distinguished technical level and strong competitions among the participants, as 56 colored medals were distributed to the first-place winners, 26 gold medals, 21 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals, in a competitive atmosphere that reflects the development of jiu-jitsu in the Asian continent, and the growing interest in it in various countries of the world.

The Republic of Korea topped the overall standings of the tournament after winning 13 gold, 13 silver and 9 bronze medals, confirming its strong presence in this sport and benefiting from hosting the tournament in developing the local player base.

Mongolia came in second place with 9 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 7 bronze medals, while Peru came in third place after winning one gold and one silver medal.

On the other hand, the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association Festival competitions in Moscow were concluded yesterday, with the participation of more than 1,000 male and female players from various age groups, amid a large attendance that reflects the growing spread of the game globally.

The competitions witnessed high artistic levels, as the festival witnessed the distribution of 680 colored medals to the first-place winners, with 251 gold medals, 238 silver medals, and 191 bronze medals.

The Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association Festival concluded yesterday in Luanda, with the participation of hundreds of male and female players from a number of countries, most notably Angola, Lebanon, Argentina, South Africa and Brazil. The competitions witnessed the distribution of 236 colored medals to the first-place winners, including 104 gold, 84 silver, and 48 bronze medals.

The organization of these festivals comes within the framework of the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Professionals Association to enhance the game’s global presence and support its strategic plans on various continents.

Tariq Al-Bahri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Professionals Association, confirmed that the tournament and festivals achieved their technical and organizational goals and contributed to spreading the sport of Jiu-Jitsu in the Republic of Korea, Moscow and Angola.

He said that the tournament held in the Republic of Korea witnessed wide participation and strong technical levels, which reflects the continued success of the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association tournaments in various parts of the world, and its role in enhancing the spread of the game and providing professional platforms for players of different nationalities.

Al Bahri added that the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association continues to work on expanding the scope of its championships globally, in line with the vision of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, which is the largest developer of the sport of Jiu-Jitsu in the world. He pointed out that the Association’s championships are currently held in more than 150 countries around the world, with a total of more than 250 championships annually, which makes the Association the largest organizer of Jiu-Jitsu championships in the world.

He explained that this global spread contributes to enhancing the status of jiu-jitsu as a global sport, and provides the opportunity for players from different countries to gain experience and compete in a professional environment, stressing that the association will continue to organize more tournaments on the Asian continent during the coming period, with the aim of supporting the spread of the game and developing its technical level.
