stc Bahrain and Diyar Al Muharraq enhance national efforts in Tree Week within the “Trees for Life” initiative

Within the framework of Tree Week activities, stc Bahrain, the digital enabler, announced its cooperation with Diyar Al Muharraq, the leading company in the real estate development sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as part of its ongoing environmental initiative, “Trees for Life,” by planting a group of trees in various areas of the project, in support of the Kingdom’s efforts to increase the green area and achieve the goals of the national afforestation plan, which aims to double the number of trees by 2035.

This cooperation comes as an affirmation of stc Bahrain and Diyar Al Muharraq’s commitment to their environmental and social responsibility, and their continued implementation of sustainable projects that contribute to protecting the environment and improving the quality of life, in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

On this occasion, Engineer Ahmed Ali Al Emadi, CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq, commented: “We are pleased to cooperate with stc Bahrain within the activities of Tree Week, in an initiative that reflects our joint commitment to preserving the environment and promoting sustainable development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Planting trees in Diyar Al Muharraq represents a practical step towards achieving a greener and more prosperous national vision, and we are proud to be part of these efforts that combine awareness “Environmental and social responsibility.”

For his part, Sheikh Ziyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa, Vice President for Government Affairs at stc Bahrain, said: “We are proud of our annual participation in Tree Week, as an affirmation of our commitment to supporting national initiatives aimed at enhancing environmental sustainability. This cooperation is an extension of stc Bahrain’s efforts within the “Trees for Life” initiative launched by the company in 2021 in cooperation with the Supreme Council for the Environment and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, which aims to support national efforts for afforestation and combating climate change for a more sustainable future for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
