Salem Al-Dosari beats Akram Afif in the race for the best player in Asia

Saudi star Salem Al-Dosari will compete with his Qatari counterpart Akram Afif today for the Best Asian Player Award, at the 29th annual ceremony that will be hosted by the Saudi Football Federation in the capital, Riyadh.
The Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported that Salem Al-Dosari is a strong candidate to win the title for the second time in his history.
Sources confirmed that the competition for the Best Player in Asia award, which includes Arif Ayman Hanafi from (Malaysia’s Johor Dar al-Ta’zim), Akram Afif (Qatari’s Al-Sadd), who won the title twice, and Salem Al-Dosari (Saudi Al-Hilal), who won the award once, leans towards the Saudi international star.
She pointed out that it was reported that Akram Afif would not attend the ceremony after Salem Al-Dosari was confirmed to have won the title.
