"Dubai roads" Opens an exhibition "Arab Document Day"

Dubai, October 16 / WAM / The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai opened the “Arab Document Day” exhibition, which falls on October 17, in its main building with the participation of a number of government and private agencies, most notably the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for Heritage Revival, the Department of Urban Heritage and Antiquities in Dubai Municipality, and the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage.

The exhibition aims to enhance awareness of the importance of documents and archives in preserving identity and preserving historical and cognitive memory, enhancing the values ​​of national belonging and pride in Arab identity, in addition to highlighting the role of the Emirate of Dubai in sponsoring initiatives that preserve heritage and support the sustainability of knowledge.

(Arabic Document Day) is considered an annual occasion to highlight the efforts made in the country to preserve documents and manuscripts as a cultural and human wealth, and a platform to highlight the importance of archives in preserving moral heritage.

The exhibition includes various cultural and interactive programs, including an Arabic calligraphy corner to showcase the aesthetics of calligraphy, and a manuscript binding workshop, which aims to introduce attendees to the mechanisms of preserving and maintaining manuscripts, in addition to a platform for distributing historical and general books free of charge to visitors, to promote the dissemination of culture and knowledge.
