The Lebanese Prime Minister discusses with a Palestinian delegation the conditions of refugees and the process of handing over weapons inside the camps

The Lebanese Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, affirmed the Lebanese government’s keenness to follow up on files related to the general conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, and the process of handing over weapons inside the camps, in a way that contributes to strengthening Lebanese relations –

 

 

The National News Agency in Lebanon reported that this came during a “peace” meeting, today, Thursday, at the government palace, with a Palestinian delegation that included the Special Representative of the Palestinian President, Yasser Abbas, the Legal Advisor to the Palestinian President, Wael Lafi, and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Lebanon, Muhammad Al-Asaad, in the presence of Chairman of the Lebanese Dialogue Committee – Palestinian Ambassador Ramez Dimashqieh, and the political and legal advisor to the committee, Dr. Ali Murad.

During the meeting, they discussed the general conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, and followed up on the process of handing over weapons inside the camps, in addition to discussing issues related to the human, social, and economic rights of refugees, and ways to address a number of urgent life issues in a way that enhances Lebanese cooperation – Palestinian, within the framework of respecting Lebanese sovereignty and laws and ensuring the dignity of living for Palestinian refugees.
