"Oryx Labs" The Cybersecurity Council issues a regional report

Abu Dhabi, 17 October / WAM / Oryx Labs, the leading provider of digital risk protection and advanced cyber solutions and a subsidiary of the EDGE Group, in cooperation with the UAE Government Cyber Security Council, prepared the leading GCC region status report on email server security.
The report, which was issued today on the sidelines of GITEX Global 2025, the annual event for technology and digital transformation, held at the Dubai World Trade Center, covers an in-depth technical analysis of the security of email servers and verification mechanisms in various GCC countries, with a special focus on enhancing resilience and long-term sustainability in the digital infrastructure of government agencies and industrial sectors.
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al-Kuwaiti, Chairman of the Cybersecurity Council, said on this occasion that the results of this year’s report reaffirm the growing consensus among the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in enhancing digital trust, as email verification remains an essential pillar of cyber resilience and robustness, as this process protects communications, enables secure cooperation, and enhances confidence in our digital economies.
He added that the Council will continue to foster cooperation across borders and sectors, to ensure synergy between security and innovation as we move towards a safer and more reliable digital future.
For his part, Rogerio Lemos, CEO of Oryx Labs, explained that in light of the accelerating digital transformation taking place in the Gulf Cooperation Council region, secure communications emerge as a fundamental pillar of regional security.

As the second report of its kind, the State of the GCC 2025 report presents insights supported by data from nearly 600,000 servers across the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait.
The report highlights email security patterns across the region and develops key recommendations for expanding adoption of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC settings.
As the second edition, the State of the Gulf Cooperation Council Region 2025 report provides insights based on data collected from approximately 600,000 servers in the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, and the State of Kuwait.
The report highlights email security patterns in the region, and makes strategic recommendations to expand the adoption of security protocols, which include “SPF,” “DKIM,” and “DMARC.”
