A national program to train 50,000 first-line defense personnel on cardiopulmonary resuscitation

The activities of the Emirates Forum for Arab Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation were launched under the slogan “Together to Prepare a Nation,” organized by the Emirates National Program for Medical Preparedness and Response (Readiness) and the Emirates Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Association, and under the supervision of the Abu Dhabi Reserve and Volunteer Medical Team, hosted by the National Academy of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and attended by 1,500 field and virtual participants from medical and ambulance personnel. The forum witnessed the launch of a national program for medical readiness and response in cardiac resuscitation for medical, community, and volunteer staff, “Inaash,” which aims to train 50,000 first-line defense personnel, enhance the culture of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and increase medical and community readiness to respond to cases of cardiac arrest according to a unified, internationally and locally approved approach, in addition to launching the application of the medical guidelines of the Emirates Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Society, which It represents an advanced educational platform that facilitates doctors and health practitioners’ access to the latest scientific recommendations and protocols approved in the country.
President of the Emirates Cardiac Resuscitation Association, CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative, Chairman of the Emirates Doctors Initiative, CEO of the Emirates National Medical Preparedness and Response Program (Jahiya), Consultant in Cardiac Surgery and Intensive Care, Dr. Adel Al-Shammari Al-Ajmi, confirmed that the Association is proud to serve the nation through its scientific and professional mission, and that the successes achieved came as a result of integrated efforts between the various participating parties, indicating that the Association was nominated to chair the current session. The Arab Council for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, which represents the specialized Arab associations and councils officially recognized by the Ministries of Community Development in the Arab countries.
The opening session witnessed a screening of a documentary film about the achievements of the Emirates Cardiac Resuscitation Council, which contributed to creating a qualitative shift in the field of cardiac resuscitation and succeeded in attracting the best international institutions and adopting national initiatives aimed at raising the level of the health sector in the field of preparedness and response to cardiac arrest according to a unified approach approved locally and internationally.
The session also witnessed the honoring of the Emirates Medical Preparedness and Response Program (Jahiya), the Emirates Reserve and Volunteer Medical Teams, and the Emirates Mobile Heart Clinics, in appreciation of their role in adopting the training of thousands of first-line health workers in government and private hospitals in the country and managing and operating a series of mobile clinics that contributed with the Department of Municipalities and Transport in providing community and awareness services to various segments of society to increase community awareness. Participating and supporting companies and entities were also honored in appreciation of their effective contributions to the success of the forum and enhancing its scientific progress.
The Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, Dr. Ahmed Samir, one of the founders of the Emirates Cardiac Resuscitation Council, stated that preparation for the scientific program began at the beginning of the year, and resulted in the preparation of many scientific sessions covering all cardiology specialties, in addition to specialized workshops targeting doctors, health practitioners, and medical students to provide them with advanced practical and professional training.
Vice Chairman of the Scientific Committee, French cardiothoracic surgeon Professor Olvier Jacdin, confirmed that the current edition was distinguished in its scientific content, the number of speakers, and the quality of attendees, pointing out that the forum witnessed seven joint sessions with prestigious international associations, which strengthened its position as a global platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences.
The Emirates Cardiac Resuscitation Society confirmed the continuation of its journey in supporting research, innovation and medical education, in partnership with the Emirates Medical Preparedness and Response Program (Readiness), and management from the National Training Foundation (Tadreeb).
