المملكة: A Saudi researcher receives a doctorate and honor at the United Nations.
The Saudi researcher, Dr. Ghanem Al-Ghuwaynem, achieved an academic achievement by obtaining a doctorate degree from University of South Carolina, USA.
This achievement was crowned by his representing the Kingdom as a participating researcher in an international conference at United Nationsin New York, which received wide praise, including an honor from the Saudi Ambassador to the United Nations in recognition of his research efforts.
Al-Ghuwaynem discussed his scientific thesis, which was titled “The Role of Linguistic Ideologies in Teaching the English Language in Saudi Arabia: From the Perspective and Experiences of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language.”
Case Study
The study adopted the “case study” method to analyze the reality of teaching the English language, highlighting ways to develop language education environments in the Kingdom in line with the goals of Vision 2030 to enhance linguistic competencies.
Dr. Al-Ghuwaynem’s contributions extended to include research participation in international scientific conferences in the United States and Europe. He also published a number of peer-reviewed scientific papers, and was chosen as an academic referee for prestigious scientific journals and international conferences, which reflects his research standing.
Multiple Contributions
In recognition of his multiple contributions, Al-Ghuwaynem received special honor from the Dean and President of the University of South Carolina for his scientific and academic research at the international level.
He was also honored by King Salman International Academy in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the field of language and identity.
