Kremlin: Preparations for Putin’s meeting with Trump are continuing

The Kremlin announced on Wednesday that preparations were underway for the upcoming meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putinand his American counterpart Donald Trumpis still in place, denying rumors about its cancellation.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that the meeting requires careful preparation because "No one wants to waste their time"indicating that Russia is cautious and seeks to ensure tangible results.

On the other hand, Peskov ruled out Putin’s participation in the G20 summit scheduled for November in South Africa, explaining that Russia will be represented on the "High level"As was the custom on previous occasions.
