The Iraqi Speaker of Parliament praises the heroism of the Palestinian people in confronting the occupation
Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, affirmed today, Thursday, that the Palestinian issue will remain a central issue in the conscience of the nation and firmly rooted in the conscience of the Iraqi people, who were and still are a supporter of Palestine and its steadfast people, praising the heroism of the Palestinian people and their legendary steadfastness in the face of the Israeli occupation.
This came during Al-Mashhadani’s meeting with Ambassador Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Iraq, according to a statement. During the meeting, Al-Mashhadani said, during the meeting, that Iraqi-Palestinian relations will remain stable and rooted in the depth of Iraqi history and conscience, praising the positive and fruitful role that Ambassador Al-Ruwaidi played during his work in Iraq, and the sincere efforts he made. To strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between the two peoples.
For his part, the Palestinian ambassador expressed his deep appreciation for the honorable positions of the Iraqi government, parliament and people in supporting the Palestinian cause, at the political and humanitarian levels, appreciating the continuous support provided by Iraq and firm positions that embody the depth of brotherhood and unity of destiny between the two countries, praising the generosity of the Iraqis. And their constant support for Palestine, especially during the recent events.
