المملكة: 8 categories that are not subject to the provisions of the social insurance system

- Civilian and military state employees to whom it applies Civil and military retirement systems. This exception does not extend to retirees who meet the conditions for participation in the social insurance system.
- The foreign worker who works in a foreign international, political, or military mission.

- Seafarers who work on sea vessels for transport or fishing. This exception does not include the categories specified in Paragraph 3 of Article 2 of the Registration and Subscriptions Regulations..
- Domestic servants who work in domestic service.
- The foreign worker who is brought to the Kingdom to do work that does not usually take more than 3 months to complete, such as visiting doctors, consultants, and the like.
- Istisna’is who work in their homes for themselves and do not employ any workers.
- Members of the employer’s family working in family businesses where no one else works.
Leaving work
Social Insurance said that the participant who left a job subject to the system is entitled to receive lump sum compensation without waiting for reaching the age of sixty or the occurrence of disability.
It added that the payment of lump sum compensation occurs according to the following cases:
- The transferee to a job subject to the Civil retirement or to the military retirement system and the period of his contribution to the social insurance system was less than one year.
- Whoever has been sentenced or ordered by the person in authority to imprisonment for a period of 5 years or more and whose period of contribution is less than (120) months.
- Whoever engages in hard work or work that is harmful to health in accordance with the conditions specified for that.
- Whoever has had his citizenship revoked. Saudi Arabia.
