"Cumshot" The list of 48 finalists for Season 12 will be announced tomorrow

Abu Dhabi, October 25 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority will announce tomorrow, Sunday, during a ceremony held at Al Raha Beach Theater, the list of 48 poets who have qualified to compete in the twelfth season of the “Million Poet” program, which the Authority produces under the slogan “Our Poem is One,” which is the most prominent event in the world of Nabataean poetry in the Arab world.

The ceremony represents the official launch of a new season of the program, which has established its position as the largest platform for celebrating Nabati poetry and highlighting the talents of poets from Arab countries and abroad, as lovers of the Nabati word await the start of direct competitions on the Al Raha Beach Theater, where the journey to reach the spark of poetry is renewed.

The first stage of the twelfth season witnessed a wide turnout, as the jury received more than 1,200 poems submitted by male and female poets from 25 countries, all of which underwent careful sorting and evaluation processes.

The jury’s rounds to meet the poets began from Riyadh, passing through Kuwait, Amman, and Muscat, all the way to Abu Dhabi, with the participation of 959 poets, including 20 female poets from 19 countries, who presented a distinguished poetic performance before the jury and the advisory committee.

Five recording episodes were shown on the “Abu Dhabi” and “Baynouna” channels, four of which dealt with the committee’s rounds that resulted in the selection of the list of 100 from 13 countries, while the qualified poets underwent oral and written tests, which were reviewed in the fifth episode, in preparation for selecting the final list of 48 poets that will be announced during the upcoming ceremony tomorrow.

The “Million Poet” program, which was launched in 2006, is one of the most prominent Arab cultural projects aimed at preserving the intangible literary heritage and enhancing the position of Nabataean poetry in the contemporary cultural scene, by supporting talented people and enabling them to communicate with the Arab public on a broader scale.

The total value of the prizes in the program is more than 15 million UAE dirhams, of which the first place winner receives 5 million dirhams, in addition to the title of “Million Poet” and a poetry slab, while varying financial prizes are awarded to the winners from second to sixth place.
