The UAE raises its tally in the Asian Youth Games to 7 medals

The UAE’s tally rose to 7 colored medals (three gold, two silver, and two bronze) in the competitions of the third edition of the Third Asian Youth Games, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain until the 31st of this month, with the participation of more than 5,000 male and female athletes from 45 countries, in which the UAE participates in 19 various sports.
The UAE mixed martial arts team continued its brilliance on the continental scene, after it succeeded today in winning two medals in the traditional mixed martial arts competitions, where Salem Al-Hamoud, the player of our national MMA team, won the gold medal in the 75 kg weight category after defeating his Afghan counterpart Ahmed Fayaz in the final match, while our player Ghala Al-Hammadi was crowned with the bronze medal in the weight category. 50 kg girls after defeating Kubaneshbekovna Maryam from Kyrgyzstan.
Our national team runner, Arwa Ali, also won silver in the 200-meter sprint at the Gulf Youth Games in Bahrain.
Our national athletics team won 4 colorful medals yesterday with Arwa Ali, our national team’s runner, who won the gold medal in the 100-meter race. Our runner, Aisha Mohammed, also won the gold medal in the 400-meter race for young women. Saeed Omar, our national team’s runner, won the silver medal in the 400-meter race for young women, and Muhammad Adel Al-Ali won the bronze medal in the hammer throw competition. 62.03 metres.
