Since the beginning of 2025, Africa has recorded about 6,800 deaths from the cholera epidemic


The African Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that (6,795) deaths had been recorded on the African continent since the beginning of the year 2025.

It confirmed today that (23) African countries reported (294,244) infections, which represents a rate It reaches (2.3%), which is higher than the average of previous years.

It indicated a rapid increase in this year, which has not yet ended, compared to the year 2022, and that the number of infections and deaths has nearly tripled, which shows the extent of the disease’s increase in recent years.
