The Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Authority discusses with the Philippine Authority investment opportunities and enhancing the export of pharmaceutical exports

Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, Chairman of the Egyptian Medicines Authority, held a bilateral meeting with the delegation of the Philippine Food and Drug Authority (FDA Philippines), headed by Dr. Jesusa Joyce Seronay, Director of the International Regulatory Operations Policy Committee (IROPC), at the headquarters of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, during his participation in the International Alliance of Regulatory Authorities Summit. Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi confirmed, during the meeting, that the Authority is proceeding With steady steps towards strengthening its international presence and expanding areas of cooperation with global regulatory bodies, in line with the vision of the Egyptian state in supporting regional integration and building effective strategic partnerships in the field of medicine.
Al-Ghamrawi pointed out that the Egyptian Drug Authority possesses advanced regulatory and technical capabilities that qualify it to be a reliable partner in supporting pharmaceutical systems in friendly countries, stressing the authority’s keenness to transfer its expertise. Regulatory and technical support will contribute to raising the efficiency of the pharmaceutical sector globally and achieving sustainable drug security that serves the people.
For her part, Dr. Jesusa Joyce Sironay, Director of the International Regulatory Operations Policy Committee at the Philippine Food and Drug Authority, expressed – She expressed her appreciation for the pioneering role played by the Egyptian Medicines Authority at the regional and international levels, stressing that the Authority represents a distinguished model in developing the regulatory system in line with international standards.
