After a 5-year hiatus.. India and China resume direct flights

Today, India and China resumed direct flights between them after a long hiatus More than five years, in a step that reflects the improvement of bilateral relations between the two countries.
It was Flights between the two sides stopped in early 2020 with the outbreak of the (Covid-19) pandemic, and the deterioration of relations that led to the freezing of many Communication channels between the two countries.
Gradual improvement in bilateral relations
The decision comes within the framework of a series of steps that indicate a gradual improvement in relations between New Delhi and Beijing, as last August witnessed a meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, the first of its kind in seven years.
