The office of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Rabigh Governorate, in cooperation with the branch of King Abdulaziz University in the governorate, implemented the “Cleaning the Beach of King Abdulaziz University in Rabigh” campaign. In an environmental initiative aimed at protecting the coastal environment and reducing Wastespread on the beach.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness of the dangers of plastic waste and its direct negative impact on marine organisms and the environmental balance. This step comes within the Ministry’s programs aimed at achieving sustainable environmental development.
The initiative sought to enhance the concept of Environmental responsibility shared between government agencies and educational institutions, which contributes to consolidating the culture of environmental conservation among members of society.
The director of the Ministry’s office in Rabigh, Engineer Radda bin Abadil Al-Qarzi, confirmed that implementing such initiatives represents a major axis in the Ministry’s strategy to spread environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices.
Al-Qarzi indicated that cooperation Educational bodies reflect their active role in instilling the values of environmental preservation in the hearts of students, and enhance the directions of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in achieving environmental sustainability and community development, stressing the office’s keenness to continue volunteer programs to protect natural resources.
