Dubai brings together world cities for the first time in the Middle East

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, witnessed the opening of the Asia-Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors Forum, which kicked off today in Expo City Dubai.
His Highness said in a blog post on the “X” platform: “For the first time in the Middle East, Dubai brought together the cities of the world through the Asia-Pacific Cities Summit and the Mayors’ Forum, which kicked off today in Expo City Dubai, with the participation of mayors and leaders from more than 350 cities around the world. On the sidelines of the opening, I witnessed the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding between Dubai and both Tokyo and Brisbane. I also met a number of The participating leaders from various cities, and we welcomed them to the United Arab Emirates… We wish success to the participants, and we look forward to this summit being a starting point for new visions for cities, consolidating the principles of sustainability and innovation and putting people and their quality of life at the heart of the decision.”
