"Sharjah Asset Management" Looking to cooperate with "Emirates researchers"
Sharjah, October 27 / WAM / Sharjah Asset Management Company – the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah, today held a coordination meeting with the Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies within the framework of enhancing institutional cooperation in the fields of scientific research and applied studies and examining the prospects for future partnerships that support the emirate’s directions in developing the knowledge economy and its practical applications in sustainable economic development.
The meeting was chaired by Omar Al Mulla, CEO of Investment at Sharjah Asset Management, in the presence of Khaled Al Kindi, Director General of Sharjah Taxi, and a delegation of UAE researchers represented by Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Secretary General, Dr. Youssef Al Ali, Ali Makki, and members of the Center’s Board of Trustees, in addition to a number of Sharjah Asset Management employees and experts from the investment and research sector.
The two sides discussed ways to activate applied research partnerships in the fields of economics and sustainable investment and enhance the transfer of knowledge between academic and economic institutions in line with Sharjah’s vision of building an integrated development model based on science and innovation. Joint initiatives that would support investment decision-making, develop the business environment and anticipate future opportunities were also discussed.
Omar Al Mulla stressed that research partnerships are a pivotal pillar in developing the investment system in the emirate, pointing out that cooperation with the Emirates Researchers Center comes within Sharjah Asset Management’s directions aimed at building partnerships based on research and innovation to support investment decision-making and enhance the efficiency of development projects, in a way that contributes to enhancing integration between scientific research and the economic sector, which contributes to transforming knowledge into practical solutions and sustainable investment projects, pointing out: Innovation based on scientific research is the basis for achieving competitive excellence and enhancing Sharjah’s position as a leading center for sustainable investment in the region.
