Associated Press reported: Citing its sources, American intelligence tried to recruit the pilot of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s plane to help the American authorities arrest the president.
According to the agency’s report, US intelligence contacted General Bittner Vegas, the pilot of the Venezuelan president’s plane, and offered him a reward of $50 million in exchange for piloting the plane to one of the places where the US authorities would be able to arrest the Venezuelan president.
US intelligence contacted the pilot several times via an encrypted messaging application before the pilot blocked the number he received the messages from last September.
