What is meant by "Maternity compensation" The cash benefit paid to the participant in the Occupational Hazards Branch during the period of her giving birth according to the period specified by law, provided that the qualifying conditions for disbursement are met.
Maternity compensation to empower female workers
Maternity compensation is paid to empower working women in the labor market during the period of maternity leave, support their professional stability, and support the employer by bearing the financial burden on the establishment by disbursing the compensation due from social insurance within the period specified by law."text-align:justify">Eligibility conditions- The participant must be at work on the date of Birth incident.
- Availability of subscription periods in the Occupational Hazards Branch of no less than (12) consecutive or intermittent months during the last (36) months preceding the date of the birth incident.
- The birth must take place after at least (6) months from the date of conception, whether the fetus was born alive or dead.
Calculating maternity compensation
The subscription period eligible for eligibility begins to be calculated as of the effective date of the new insurance system, corresponding to July 3, 2024 AD. Maternity compensation is paid for a period of (3) months, and the maternity compensation payment is extended for an additional month in the event of the birth of a sick or disabled child whose health condition requires a constant companion for him.
Steps to apply
First, apply for maternity compensation through integration with the Ministry of Health:
A message will be sent to the participant confirming her eligibility for the benefit.
Log in through the participant in her account on the GOSI application.
Click On "presentation" For the service card.
1. Show birth data, complete bank account information, and agree to the terms of service.
2. View and submit the benefit summary.
3. A message will be sent to the subscriber approving the request.
4. The employer will receive a notification of the existence of a valid benefit for the participant and its start and end dates.
Secondly (applying for maternity compensation in cases other than integration with the Ministry of Health):
1. Log in via your account on the GOSI application.
2. Select the maternity compensation benefit from the main menu
3. After entering the service, complete the compensation details, which include birth details and bank account information.
4. Click on Save and Continue.
5. After completing the compensation details, the medical report document proving the birth is attached.
6. Review the application summary, verify the inputs, and click Submit.
7. After applying for the benefit, a message will be sent to the participant acknowledging the receipt of the application.
8. After processing the application, a message will be sent to the subscriber confirming the benefit.
9. When the application is approved, the transaction will appear with the employer in the establishment’s account.
Third (applying for maternity compensation one month before the date of birth):
1. Log in via your account on the GOSI application.
2. Select the maternity compensation benefit from the main menu.
3. After entering the service, complete the compensation details data and enter the expected date of birth and payment data.
4. Click on save and continue.
5. After completing the compensation details, a medical report document stating the expected date of birth is attached.
6. Review the application summary, verify the inputs, and click Submit.
7. After applying for the benefit, the participant will receive a message that the application has been received.
8. After processing the application, the subscriber will receive a message approving the benefit.
9. When the application is approved, the transaction will appear with the employer in the establishment’s account.
