The Jordanian Minister of Labor discusses with his Palestinian counterpart the activation of the cooperation agreement and the exchange of experiences in the fields of work

The Jordanian Minister of Labor, Dr. Khaled Al-Bakkar, discussed today, Wednesday, with his Palestinian counterpart, Dr. Enas Al-Atari, ways to enhance joint cooperation and exchange experiences between the two sides in various fields of work.

 

The two ministers stressed, during the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Labor in Amman, the importance of activating the cooperation agreement signed between the two countries in 2015, which contributes to the development of work systems, training, inspection, occupational safety, and the empowerment of women. And the integration of people with disabilities into the labor market.

Al-Bakkar stressed the depth of the fraternal relations between Jordan and Palestine, noting that the government, headed by Dr. Jaafar Hassan, continues to work in accordance with the High Royal Directives supporting the Palestinian brothers and enabling them to stand firm on their land.

He called for granting the State of Palestine the status of a full member in the International Labor Organization, and not being satisfied with the observer status that was approved during the recent International Labor Conference in Doha, stressing that Jordan will continue to support this Orientation in international forums.

 

For her part, Minister Al-Attari expressed her appreciation for Jordan’s firm positions in supporting Palestine, appreciating the efforts made by Minister Al-Bakkar during the 2025 International Labor Conference in calling for strengthening Palestine’s representation within the organization.

 

Al-Attari stressed Palestine’s aspiration to benefit from Jordanian expertise in the fields of inspection, occupational safety and health, and vocational training.
