International figures: Dubai is a global model and pioneer in shaping the future of cities

Dubai, 29 October / WAM / Prominent international figures praised the organizational success and high level of the “Asia-Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors Forum 2025”, stressing that Dubai has established its position as a leading global model in urban development and its superior ability to shape the future for the world.

These praises came at the conclusion of the summit, which was hosted by Expo City Dubai for the first time in the Middle East with the participation of more than 300 cities, with the aim of formulating practical solutions to future urban challenges.

In a special statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Stephanie Busari from the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who participated in presenting the discussion sessions, expressed her admiration for the distinguished organization and broad global participation, and stressed that Dubai has become a global model for rapid growth, diversity, technical progress, and advanced infrastructure, praising the role of the forum as an interactive platform that linked young professionals with decision makers to discuss topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and building resilient cities.

For his part, Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Deputy Mayor of Jeddah for Construction from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressed the success of the summit in presenting a clear future vision to overcome the challenges facing modern cities.

Al-Zahrani described Dubai as one of the leading cities that always seeks to shape the future for the world, pointing out that the forum provided access to real-world experiences about the role of artificial intelligence in serving humanity and enhancing the quality of life, which is what the UAE is keen on in organizing these international meetings.

It is noteworthy that the summit, which was organized by the Asian Pacific Cities Program (APCS) in cooperation with Dubai Municipality and international partners from October 27 to 29, concluded its activities by emphasizing the importance of continuing cooperation and knowledge exchange, thus consolidating Dubai’s position as a global destination for shaping the future of cities.
