During the conference, President Erdogan stressed the need to restrain Israel and put an end to the genocide and famine in Gaza.

 

He explained that he exchanged views with Meretz on regional and international issues, indicating that Turkey, from the first day, highlighted the genocide in Gaza and put it at the top of the agenda. International.

 

He added that his country made intense efforts to achieve a ceasefire and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

 

Erdogan said: “We must put an end to genocide and famine in Gaza by involving the German Red Cross and the Turkish Red Crescent in this Operation".

 

He continued: “We conveyed our views on the necessity of preventing the recurrence of this tragedy, and on the two-state solution that represents the key to lasting peace in the region.”

Erdogan confirmed his opposition to the German Chancellor’s statements in support of Israel, explaining that nearly 60,000 children, women and the elderly were killed as a result of the Israeli attacks.

 

He continued: “Hamas does not have bombs and does not possess nuclear weapons, but all these weapons are in hand. Israel".

 

He explained that Israel used these weapons, for example last evening it bombed Gaza again with these bombs.

 

He added: "Don’t you see this in Germany? Do you not follow these developments in Germany? Israel has always sought to subjugate Gaza through starvation and genocide, and it continues to do so until now.

 

He explained that there are threats preventing the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and that the Turkish Red Crescent is unable to deliver food aid there. Also, the Red Cross faces constant threats.

 

He stated that his country has tried so far to deliver more than 100,000 tons of food to Gaza, but it is not enough, stressing that it is necessary for this aid to continue.

 

He added regarding the necessity of ending massacres and starvation: “This is a humanitarian duty that falls on all of us. I believe that Germany, Turkey and the countries of the region will play their role in this regard to put an end to the genocide there.”
