The UAE wins an award "Best International Pavilion" At the Dates Forum in Morocco for the 14th year
Erfoud – Morocco on 31 October / WAM / The State Pavilion was crowned with the “Best International Pavilion” award within the activities of the Fourteenth International Date Palm Forum in the Kingdom of Morocco 2025, which will be held in the city of Erfoud, during the period from 29 October to 2 November 2025, in a new achievement that reflects the UAE’s leadership in developing the date palm sector and agricultural innovation.
This victory comes for the fourteenth year in a row, the culmination of a process of excellence and innovation, and an embodiment of the UAE’s humanitarian approach to supporting sustainable agriculture and empowering farmers around the world, thanks to the support of the country’s wise leadership, to consolidate the principles of food security and sustainable development.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation, said at the Presidential Office: “We dedicate this win to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Office, in appreciation of his generous support for the palm cultivation sector and his inspiring vision that made the palm tree a symbol of giving and sustainability. And to His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation.”
His Excellency added that this coronation is the result of the directives of the wise leadership and its continued support for the initiatives of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation, which embody the deep humanitarian dimension of the UAE’s approach to achieving global food security and empowering agricultural communities.
For his part, His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdul Wahab Al-Bukhari Zaid, Secretary General of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, confirmed that the UAE Pavilion this year formed an interactive platform that combines authentic agricultural heritage with modern innovation, as it displayed the latest smart technologies in irrigation and water resource management, and presented advanced models of innovation in the agricultural value chain.
He said that the State Pavilion was not just an exhibition of dates, but rather a space for cognitive and scientific interaction. It embodied the vision of Zayed’s legacy in transforming agriculture into a bridge for development and human dignity, as it presented many applied workshops in addition to modern technical presentations and a tasting of the luxurious Emirati date varieties that were admired by the participants. It also represented a platform for building new international partnerships in the fields of smart agriculture and sustainable value chains.
He stressed that this victory reflects the UAE’s continued leadership in the process of agricultural excellence globally, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, stressing that Zayed’s humanitarian legacy will remain a beacon linking dignity and development, agriculture and life, giving and the future.
His Excellency said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the UAE’s pavilion at the forum achieved remarkable success and attracted large numbers of visitors from all over the world, with the prominent participation of local and international exhibitors, which embodies the UAE’s leading position in this sector and its ability to present an integrated model that combines originality and innovation in the field of palm cultivation and date production.
He stressed that this success reflects the continued support given by the wise leadership to develop the palm and date sector and enhance its presence in regional and international markets, which contributes to consolidating the UAE’s reputation as a global center of excellence in this vital field.
